Testing task: Navigate forwards to a meter in reading mode

With NVDA in reading mode, describe how NVDA behaves when performing task "With the reading cursor on the 'Navigate forwards from here' link, navigate to the meter."

Test instructions

  1. Restore default settings for NVDA. For help, read Configuring Screen Readers for Testing.
  2. Activate the "Open test page" button below, which opens the example to test in a new window and runs a script that sets focus on a link before the meter.
  3. Insure NVDA is in browse mode by pressing Escape. Note: This command has no effect if NVDA is already in browse mode.
  4. With the reading cursor on the 'Navigate forwards from here' link, navigate to the meter.
  5. Using the following commands, With the reading cursor on the 'Navigate forwards from here' link, navigate to the meter.
    • Down Arrow

Success Criteria

To pass this test, NVDA needs to meet all the following assertions when each specified command is executed:

  1. Role 'meter' is conveyed
  2. Name 'Central Processing Unit (CPU) Usage' is conveyed
  3. Numeric value '36.166519936288' is conveyed
  4. Minimum value '0' is conveyed
  5. Maximum value '100' is conveyed
